2.3 million implants were sold in Italy

2.3 million implants were sold in Italy in 2023, compared to just under two million in 2019. This result is due to both the treatments already planned and postponed during 2020/2021, and the “new patients” who opted for fixed prostheses due to their increased awareness of aesthetic-functional issues, as well as because of the new solutions available to professionals for treating more complex cases with greater safety or in a less invasive manner. This expansion phase seems to have now been absorbed. In fact, after two years of growth, the market in 2024 is approaching a period of greater maturity.
